Rich people didn’t get there by accident or luck. They create habits that make them more successful.

There are probably a million reasons (or excuses) we can make to say why we aren’t rich. But the truth is it comes down to us and our daily habits.

The gulf between Rich Habits and Poverty Habits is staggering.

As Aristotle said, “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.”

So, I wanted to put a list of things that rich people do which guarantees success and plenty of money.

These 11 habits of wealthy people can help you to ladder up becoming rich.

1. Take responsibility for the success and failures

Successful people take complete responsibility for the success and failures in their life unlike the majority they never play the victim card if something doesn't work out they don't blame others they learn the lesson and move on quickly.

Their energy is always best spent in the present and planning for the future.

2. Believe That Time Is Money

Time is the only thing in this world, money can’t buy. The rich don’t exchange their time for money the way the poor do.

The best way for you to work on valuing your time (even if you work in a 9 to 5) is seeing where you are wasting time.

Instead of considering their weekly, monthly, or annual incomes, the wealthy focus on how much they should be earning every hour – and how much money they would lose by engaging in tasks that don’t produce money.

3. Read every day.

Among wealthy people, 88 percent read 30 minutes or more every day.

The reason successful people read is to improve themselves.

I think this goes back to using free time to educate yourself.

They are constantly trying to learn and better themselves in some capacity.

Motivate yourself to read more and actively learn more.

4. Spend less time surfing the internet or watching TV.

How much of your valuable time do you lose parked in front of a screen?

Let me put it this way. If you have time to watch reality tv, you are probably poor.

It's always amazing how much time poor people have to watch meaningless shows.

It serves no value to your life.

63 percent wealthy people spend less than an hour a day on the internet unless it is job-related.

They don't check mails and phone first thing in the morning.

When you check your phone as your first activity in the morning, you willingly start your day on someone else’s terms.

And, Rich People always take control of the situation.

5. Wake up early or stay up late.

Almost all successful people get going before sunrise.

If you wake up late & Don't educate yourself. You'll find yourself way too behind from others who do.

When you are not practicing, remember somewhere someone is practicing, and when you meet him, he will win.

So, stop hitting the snooze button & stick to your wake up time.

Or if you are a night owl - stay up late and achieve the goals.

6. Bite Your Tongue

Wealthy people are mindful of what they say.
Sometimes it pays to bite your tongue. Is Boss being an idiot? Don’t call your boss an idiot. Customer making unreasonable demands?

Don’t tell the customer to go to hell.

Sometimes you just have to eat shit.

If you want to foster great relationships, learn to stop yourself from saying something rude.

Don't speak to avoid the discomfort of silence.

Don't speak to unload ego driven thoughts or anger.
Respond, don't react.

There is a huge difference between a thoughtful response and a knee-jerk reaction.

7. Keep Track of Their Money

Rich people have strong control over their finances. They aren’t compulsive spenders.

Rich people know every dollar that comes in and every cent that goes out.

Very few adults are financially literate! Rich people are at the top of finance management.

They earn, they invest, they multiply the money.

I have never met a rich person that hasn’t lost money.

Rich people take calculated risks and aren’t scared to lose some money in the process.

8. Treat their friends and family differently than the rest of us.

No man is an island.

Our mental and personal growth are tied up in the quality of our personal relationships.

Relationships, like time, can’t be bought.

All the great leaders have a quality of connecting with people. They create happiness in and out of the workplace.

They are generous givers. They know and are convinced of the "secret" that the more you give, the more you receive as long as you are genuine about your gifts.

They are great at communication. They help without expectations.

"Your title makes you a manager. Your people make you a leader."

Show up, work hard, and have an impact every day.

9. Positive Attitude

Rich people are optimistic even when things don't go their way.

They believe that like a child learning to walk, they need to take action first and then modify the action according to the feedback that they get.

10. Masters of Time

Rich people are successful because they get a lot done.

The only way to do that is by making the most out of the 24 hours.

They are usually always on time.

11. Have Big Dreams

I have yet to read a biography of a successful person who didn't have grand dreams.

Sir Richard Branson, Walt Disney and Sam Walton all had big dreams and they achieved more than they originally imagined.

This is one of the reasons they became successful.

They are not afraid to dream big and then go for it.

If you want to know whether someone will be successful, ask them about their dreams.

If they sound plausible, then they are not dreaming big enough.

So where do you stand?

I hope you have either reconfirmed many of your own qualities or have created action plans to develop the qualities you are lacking.

Which one of these building blocks of success do you want to develop?

If you know anyone guilty of not following these 11 things. Please do them a favour and show them this article.
